A judge arraigned Francisco Javier Gonzalez Rivera Friday morning after he was arrested for stabbing a Med High drama teacher.

Judge Juan Ramon Alvarez set Rivera’s bond at $2 million on a capital murder charge.

Authorities charged the 27-year-old for the death of Med High drama teacher, Eduardo Cruz.

The Weslaco resident was found stabbed to death in his home in July 2008.

According to authorities, the 64-year-old teacher’s Silver Pontiac Vibe, along with other belongings were taken from his home.
